Job Description:

  • A tax accountant is responsible for assisting clients and companies with their financial and income tax statements. These qualified professionals research, study and interpret tax law. Their work includes preparing payments, identifying tax savings, and analyzing tax issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, Filing and Payment of Monthly/Quarterly Taxes (Withholding Taxes, VAT, Income Tax Returns)

    • Preparation and filing of Summary List of Sales and Purchases

    • Preparation of 2307 • Renewal of Annual Certificate of Registration

    • Preparation, Filing and Payment of Annual Taxes (ITR, 1604CF, 1604E)

    • Renewal of Permits and Licenses (Business Permits, Brgy. Clearance, Sanitary Permit, Building Permit, Fire Safety, Locational Clearance, etc.)

    • Assist in the permits preparation for branches to be opened

    • Renewal of NTC-related permits

    • Renewal of OMB-related permits

    • Annual Filing of SEC reportorial requirements (GIS & SEC)

    • BIR Tax Audits

    • Perform sales posting for Home Credit transactions

    • Daily Update of sales journal and collection receipt

    • Assist in verification of online collection

    • Other tasks that may be assigned

Qualification:

  • Graduate of BS Accountancy

  • 1-4 years of experience in Taxation including local government unit compliance

  • Good understanding of PFRS

  • Willing to work onsite 

  • Knowledgeable in MS Office especially MS Excel and Word

  • Familiar with excel functions and keyboard shortcuts

  • Good communication skills both oral and written

  • Can work under pressure and prioritize tasks on hand

  • Highly analytical and independent

  • Team player
